For an especially spacious stay, choose Everest for up to 10 guests or The Chalet for up to 8 guests, complete with a private sauna and infrared cabin.

Yes. You can easily order fresh bread rolls for breakfast in your apartment directly from Ötztal Bäck online. Your order will be delivered to the abitare chalets in the morning.

Yes. One interim cleaning service is included during your stay and usually takes place around halfway through your visit. The exact timing is not scheduled in advance. This service covers smaller tasks such as changing towels and replenishing coffee capsules and toilet paper.

We cannot generally guarantee an additional full cleaning. However, if you need anything during your stay, please contact the hotel reception and we will be happy to see what can be arranged.

Winter & Ski Holidays in Obergurgl

In winter, the abitare chalets combine the freedom of your own apartment with everything you need for a ski holiday in Obergurgl. After a day in the ski area, you can relax in the sauna and steam room, dry your equipment in the ski boot and drying room, and, if you wish, make use of additional services at Hotel Bergwelt.

Yes. In winter, guests staying at the abitare chalets can use the Luxury Spa at Hotel Bergwelt for an additional charge. According to the current offer, one spa day is included for stays of seven nights or more.

Yes. In winter, guests staying at the abitare chalets can add the gourmet breakfast at Hotel Bergwelt to their stay. This gives you the flexibility to start the morning at your own pace in your apartment or enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

In winter, subject to availability, you can enjoy a five-course dinner menu at one of the restaurants at Hotel Bergwelt. If you would prefer a relaxed evening in your apartment, you can also order a meat or cheese fondue for delivery directly to the abitare chalets.

For the fondue delivery service, please order at least 48 hours in advance.

Yes. The complimentary hotel ski shuttle is also available to guests staying at the abitare chalets and takes you conveniently towards the ski area at the scheduled times. You can find the current shuttle times in the Hotel Bergwelt information.

Around Obergurgl, you’ll find hiking trails, bike routes, alpine pastures, via ferratas and summer mountain lifts. This makes the abitare chalets an ideal base for a summer holiday in Obergurgl and Tyrol – whether you prefer to be active or simply relax.

Yes. As a guest of the abitare chalets, you receive the Ötztal Inside Summer Card during the summer season. It includes or discounts a wide range of activities and services throughout the Ötztal valley, including mountain lifts and various leisure attractions.

Please note: the Summer Card is not valid on the day of arrival.

Yes. Obergurgl offers plenty of opportunities for hiking and biking right on your doorstep. According to the current website, the area around the village features more than 150 kilometres of hiking trails, 35 kilometres of bike routes and two summer mountain lifts.

Yes. With a range of apartment sizes, the abitare chalets offer plenty of space for both small and larger families. If you are looking for a spacious holiday apartment in Obergurgl for the whole family, you can choose from accommodation with several bedrooms and private bathrooms, with larger apartments sleeping up to 10 guests.

Having your own kitchen also makes everyday life particularly flexible when travelling with children. The Chalet additionally features a mezzanine for children and a private sauna.

Yes. With apartments for up to 10 guests, the abitare chalets are also ideal for groups of friends travelling together or larger families. Several bedrooms and bathrooms ensure there is still plenty of privacy while enjoying time together.

For families, the larger apartments with several bedrooms and bathrooms are particularly suitable. Studio K2 also features a bunk bed for children, while The Chalet has its own mezzanine where children have space to play and relax.

For larger families, apartments for up to 10 guests are available.

Yes. With your own kitchen or kitchenette, families can plan meals entirely around their own daily routine – from a quick breakfast before a day on the slopes to dinner together in the apartment. In summer, you can even enjoy meals outside, for example on the terrace of the Monte Rosa apartment.

In winter, guests can also make use of selected services at Hotel Bergwelt, where child-friendly options are of course available at dinner.

Yes. In winter, childcare at Hotel Bergwelt can be booked on request through the hotel reception. The cost is € 20 per child per day, including lunch.

Yes. A cot and high chair can be requested through the reception at Hotel Bergwelt. We recommend letting us know before your arrival if you would like either of these to be provided.

Holidays with Your Dog at abitare chalets

Yes. Dogs are welcome at the abitare chalets on request. To make sure both you and your four-legged companion feel comfortable during your stay, please bring your own dog bed and, if needed, dog blankets and towels.

Please let us know when booking if your dog will be travelling with you. An additional charge of € 30 per day applies.

Yes. There are numerous walking and hiking trails in and around Obergurgl for you and your dog to enjoy. To help keep the area pleasant for everyone, dog waste bags and bins are available throughout Gurgl.

Dog waste must be picked up on pavements, paths, roads and shared-use areas and disposed of appropriately.

In Obergurgl and on many hiking trails, dogs should be kept on a lead. In general, dogs are required to be kept on a lead when hiking in the Ötztal.

Particular care should be taken on alpine pastures and grazing land. When encountering cows or other grazing animals, dogs should be kept under control and on a lead. Please also follow any local signs and instructions.

Dogs are allowed on many summer mountain lifts in the Ötztal. The rules vary depending on the lift – some require dogs to be kept on a lead, while others also require a muzzle.

We therefore recommend checking the current regulations for the respective mountain lift before travelling and always carrying both a lead and a muzzle with you.

Yes. Dogs are allowed on public transport in the Ötztal. When travelling by bus, they must either be kept on a short lead or carried and must wear a secure muzzle.
We therefore recommend always bringing both a lead and a muzzle with you on holiday.

For any unexpected situations, you can contact Mountainvet veterinary practice in Längenfeld. Before a hiking holiday, it is also a good idea to check that your dog’s vaccinations are up to date and that they are fit and healthy, and to bring a small first-aid kit with you.

Location, Arrival & Getting Around

The abitare chalets are located at Seenplattenweg 31 in Obergurgl, in a peaceful hillside setting with views of the Gurgl glaciers. The village centre, with its cafés, shops and restaurants, is around 300 metres away.

Obergurgl is situated at the upper end of the Ötztal valley in Tyrol. The quiet location combined with short distances to the village centre makes the abitare chalets a comfortable place to stay in Obergurgl for both summer and winter holidays.

Check-in and check-out take place at the reception of the 4-star superior Hotel Bergwelt, Kressbrunnenweg 9 in Obergurgl. There you will receive your keys or key cards, along with all the important information for your stay.

Regular check-in is available from 3.00 pm, and check-out is until 9.00 am.
Please let the team know your expected arrival time in advance.

If you are arriving after 6.00 pm, please let the team know in advance. You will then receive a personal access code for the key box located directly at the abitare chalets.

Hotel Bergwelt is around 950 metres from the abitare chalets. It takes approximately 12 minutes on foot or around 3 minutes by car.

Check-in and check-out take place at the reception of Hotel Bergwelt. Various additional services that can be used or added to your stay are also available directly at the hotel.

Yes. A parking space directly at the chalets is reserved for guests. A garage space can also be booked on request for an additional charge.

Yes. Obergurgl offers shops for your everyday self-catering needs, as well as restaurants and other places to eat and drink. Thanks to the chalets’ proximity to the village centre, many of these can be reached easily on foot.
